Good advice given so far. Some way to see bites is a must, so either white spray paint, glow sticks/paint, or just holding the rod.

Keep bugs away from you by keeping out of the lights. The higher up the lights are the higher up the bugs will be.

Get there in the dusk hour so that you know where exactly you are.Properly anchor your boat while it is daylight.Put in your lights.I have found areas in 25 fow to be best.Once your light are in,fix up your rods.I use 1 for livebait and 1 for artificials.Have 2 bait buckets, one for front of boat and one for rear.Clear everything off the bottom of your boat while it is slow.

    Choosing The Best Fishing Times

There really is nothing complicated about this at all; it's just a matter of knowing
ahead of time exactly when the sun and moon will rise and set. Fish are most active
during 90-minute windows surrounding each of these four daily events; that's 45
minutes before and after these four daily points......

Moon calendar for 1930 to 2020..to increase your fishing limits

Good advice, a crowded, messy boat is a nightmare once the sun goes down.

    Tip #7
Pre-tie enough leaders and rigs to last you the entire night trip. Reason you will get lot of hang ups as opposed to daylight fishing.

    Tip #8

I don't care how experienced you are Bob. Keep your life jacket on at night. Some people are clumsy like me during the day and worse at night. You know that don't you. Then when you cast you should cast beyond the edge of the light and slowly draw your offering to the light fringes. I like green lighting the best.

The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary. John 15:7 Jesus says..." ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."

If you don't own submersible fishing light, you can still attract bait fish by using a lantern attached to a pole................Warning gas & fire not the best idea

Bring a spotlight to see when running at night. Gps don't show logs.
