    Default Trailer guides

Has anybody ever made thier own trailer guides out of angle iron? If you did what type of lumber did you use, treated or non treated?

I had to replace the bunks on my trailer, along with a whole bunch of other stuff, but thats for another thread. I used pressure treated lumber, it will outlast teh carpet.

Made mine out of 1" conduit with a 90 degree bend and attached one in front and one back of the wheels. connected them with carpet covered pressure treated 2X4. works well has a little give to it and will push the boat to the correct position on the trailer.
