    Default Night-time Crappie Fishing

I've always been strictly a day-time crappie fisherman, but I've gotten the urge to try some at night.
Based on the research I've done, a lot of folks use the "green light", but everyone seems to prefer the 12 volt style.
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with those small, AAA battery powered ones from Academy, and are they worth a hoot? I'll be fishing from a kayak and don't really want to carry a car battery with me.

I bought one like you are asking about a few years ago to use to fish off a pier. It will pull in the bait. It doesn't put out the light that my 12 volt does but if you are looking for one to use in a kayak night fishing it will work fine.

Appreciate the response, Stump Hunter! Guess it won't hurt to give it a try, will it?
