Clearwater Lake?

Anyone have any news from Clearwater. My buddy just recently moved back to Piedmont and I thought I might pull the boat over and try my luck. Been along time since I've been there. Any help would be good.

Just met a woman that lives near Clearwater and said her brother knows all the good places to crappie fish on the lake. Planning to go down next week and take her fishing with a map from her brother. He is retired and goes fishing several times a week.

There are alot of crappie in Clearwater but I have a hard time finding any of any size.

Clearwater used to be a lake where you'd see a lot a people trolling the main channel for crappie, white and black bass.
Used to have pretty decent luck in the summer fishing like this. Always caught decent size fish. Nothing huge, but you could always count on a mix of fish in the livewell.
