    Default 1st day on the board thoughts

    I've been looking on this site for several months, I thought it was time to join in. Here are a few thoughts on crappie fishing;

    1) Size doesn't matter, except at weigh-in
    2) Catch and release is not for bass fishermen only
    3) Crappie math Ugly boat + smaller motor = More fish
    4) Never break in a new hat and a new fishing buddy the same day
    5) Travel to the lakes with the best fish - Truman looks pretty good this year
    6) Do your work on the winding days - preferably work on your boat
    7) Work hard in the morning so you can fish hard in the afternoon or just fish hard all day
    8) Never pass up a chance to fish with your father, son, daughter wife or anyone else that wants to go
    9) Crappie slime is the best medicine for cuts and burns
    10) I need to get my work done so I can go this afternoon & tomorrow
    11) You folks are my kind of people!!!

    Default Well Put

    I Would Have To Agree, And Size Boat- Motor :doesn't Matter, Just Get Out And Have Fun...... A Nurse Just Told Me Yesterday Up At The Hospital That Crappie Fishing Can Sure Keep You Out Of A Lot Of Trouble, And I Agree Unless U Get That Sparkly Stuff All Over U Then U Better Have A Good Excuse Where U Been, Such As A Limit Of Crappie Or Slime All Over U.....

    J4slabs you just about summed it up with your first post. Welcome to the site from Truman lake. There are some great people on here. Most everybody is willing to help out with where and how the fish are biting. I think you will really like the site.

    Wow Commando I thought it makes a lot of sense
    The basic theory goes like this;

    Ugly Boat=<$
    Small Motor=fish closer to the launch=<gas&<$
    Throw in that it is aluminum=<weight
    Less weight=Less gas+smaller tow vehicle=<$
    All the money saved= less OT
    Money saved means >$ for Mama to spend shopping while I fish
    less OT= more time on the water with my jigs in the water=MORE FISH

    I fished from a 14' with a 9.9 for many years and caught just as many fish as I do now with a slightly bigger boat. I guess I'll stick with old and ugly so I can afford to be on the water more. I hope to see you there. I'll wave as you go by.
