Default What do you say this fish is?

Caught this friday while fishing at WR lake. I thought I had a very nice size bass on the line over the fight it was giving. I think I know what it is, but want to hear what you have to say.It was over 12 1/2 inches total length and it weighed in at 1 lb and 2 ounces. It was a very thick fish. Now, what do you think it is?

Shell cracker. I have a pet just like it in the pond. It loves cricket and worms.
