Guntersville, Pickwick and Eufaula lakes are featured on the new Monopoly: BASS Fishing Lakes Edition board game patterned after the popular 70 year old monopoly game.
Twenty two of the nation's most famous lakes are found on the game. It has six custom pewter playing pieces including a boat, reel, tacklebox and the Bassmaster Classic trophy. Players try to own the "properties," but in this case instead of hotels and railroads it's lakes, rivers and reservoirs.
Corner squares remain the same: "Go," "Go to jail," "Free Parking" and "Just visiting/in jail." Chance and Community Chest have been replaced with smallmouth and largemouth bass, and the houses and hotels are now cabins and resorts.
Lakes included are Rodman Reservoir, Lake of the Ozarks, Okeechobee, Winnipesaukee, St. Lawrence River, Seminole, Table Rock, Shasta, Casitas, Toho, Santee Cooper, St. Clair, Potomac, Castaic, Sam Rayburn, Erie, California Delta, Champlain and Fork. Suggested price is $39.95 and the game is available at usaopoly.com
I think this would be a good present for the younger fisherman and fisherwomen for Christmas. Thought I would post it as an idea.
