    Default Ok...I've got it bad!

After 2 recent nightstalks...I'm hooked! So hooked, that I went out to Wally World tonight...in search of the best fluorescent paint to use for the tips of my rods.
Here's what I came home with...and my results.
    Krylon 3105 Glowing Cerise (spray) <almost a hot pink>
Krylon 3104 Glowing Lemon Yellow (spray)
    Testors 1363 Yellow Fluorescent
    Testors 1362 Green Fluorescent

Dry paint, on the rod, under blacklight (at 6' away) test....
The Krylon 3105 is out, nowhere near as "glowing" as the rest.
Krylon 3104 was a tie with Testors 1363 Yellow.
Testors 1362 seemed a tad more effective the rest.
This was a dark closet/blacklight test...a real world, nightstalk test will be done soon!

I should mention that the Krylon sprays do not mention what type of paints they are, but do require thinner for cleanup, the Testors can be cleaned up with soap and water...but they are "permanant" when dry.

Hey Snal, Go ahead and paint your boat with what is left over so we can find you at night....LOL If I ever get back into night fishing, I'll have to try it. I used reflector tape but light line will get tangled up in the tape.

I found that if you paint the rod tip white then use the bright paints they work a lot better, much brighter. Well they did for me with the flouresent yellow I use.

Yep!...got 2 of those suction cup mount lights with a white fluorescent and a blacklight tube in each light. I've had them for years....just never used the blacklight bulb before.

After reading the can/bottle (I always read instructions last)...they suggest using a white base just like you've done. I'll try that on the remaining rods.

Makes a world of difference as far as being able to see the slightest bite huh? Matter of fact, you can see the bite better, than in broad daylight! I have been fishing blacklights at night for about 3 years now, and wouldn't even bother going fishing in the dark without one anymore. I am spoiled rotten from them.
