    Default Friday Night Reviews...RODHOLDERS

I'm considering doing a weekly review, wherein I compare/contrast 2 (or more) models of rodholders (or any product but it's gonna be rod holders to start) and report back here with color pics, the good, the bad and the ugly. Then take the best holders based upon a numerical rating system and compare them to each other and come up with one over all "Best of" over a period of a few weeks or something like that.

    For example:

    WEEK 1...TiteLok vs Mr. Crappie
    WEEK 2...Perotti vs Driftmaster
    WEEK 3...Hi-tek vs Bee Ready

NEED SUGGESTIONS FOR MORE MATCH-UPS...and would you guys be interested in reading something like this. It will certainly probably help some folks save some money as they buy the product that best suits their needs too. Which they will be able to get the details from the reviews.

Please, do it! I've got a set of Hi-tek's but I love to see a real comparison.

    Thumbs up Good idea Rick

Are you going to be around Jackson for the next couple of weeks? I'll be coming down to see a sick classmate and thought I might get to meet you and get a few tips on Ross Barnett...I fished it back in the 60s but I am sure it has changed a lot...Use to fish standing timber a night....Eyes too old for night fishing now...

That's cool! I'm in the market right now.

So are you going to review them here, or on your own website?

Don't forget the Ciscos. The best rodholder out there.

Default Not as easy as it sounds

If you are going to do that then you will need to consider some options. Are they best for crappie fishing or for any kind of fishing. Some rod holders that are great for crappie fishing are not suitable for catfish or striped bass. I do realize this is a crappie fishing site but most people on here like to fish for other species also. Price should also be an issue. In some instances they need to be easily removable for boat covers, low storage buildings, or low bridges. I would divide these into separate areas and apply these questions to all brands and models. Don't just say brand X are the best because in all instances it might not be true. Just answer the questions in each area.

Why not have some input from people that own and/or use a particular brand to be used in the comparison. I own a set of hitek's and have used titeloks.
