Default Anybody doing anything on wylie this week?

Was just wondering.Probably gonna give 'em a try this weekend. When I was out this past weekend the water was a lot cooler , didn't get a temp. as I didn't have my depth finder with me.Did catch a couple of channel cats that went around ten pounds. One of them was pitch black in color and his head was swole up like they was spawning.Anybody know why?

    Default might try sat night

I might get out sat night. I don't know where I am going to fish. I might try up catawba creek if the water isn't too muddy. I don't know if I want to put up with all the b.s. from the drunks on the water on the weekend nights but it is going to be my only chance to fish this week due to work.

    Question from the rookie

was wondering if you thought the floods this week would hurt the fishing, I've been wanting to come down to wylie and fish but the catfish and crappie have been biting pretty good on hickory and my gut tells me to stay where the fish are biting

Last nite the water was only alittle stained but now it's turning brown. Maybe better to give it a week or two.
