I have a 2004 tracker tv-18 with a 90hp on it. I replaced the transom mount transducer mount(because it broke) I put marine silicone in all the screw holes to seal them. But I seem to have some water getting in, could it be from this ? Never had this problem before this. But I was reading about cleaning your bilge pump and livewell lines, and the fact that they could cause water to get it too. Just needed to hear from some of you very experienced boat owners or mechanics. Dumb question, does the hull get some water in it everytime you are on the water, and that is to be expected??

you have a leak somewhere. could be a screw hole, rivet, thru hull, livewell pump or hose, or livewell itself. these things can be hard to find. fill livewell up, check for leaks. put plug in and start filling bilge up, hopefully you will find it pretty quick

Thanks speckfinder, we found that the inlet port for the livewell fill hose fitting was cracked, so we put a new one in, and now it is fine.
