    Default Gardner Lake


    anybody fish this lake at all. went out today from about 9 till 4 didnt catch very manny. caught some small ones on minnows and 2 real nice 12 inchers on jigs. i know it used to be a real good bass lake and still might be but i have been catching a few crappie out there this year. i wanna get down to melvern some time.

    i know someone that lives on it, and he's told me that in front of that public gazebo there's a ton of brush, and from there on towards the ramp all the docks are real good fishing. I've never taken my boat out there, but will soon. as for bass there must be some good ones there, or he would have moved to a different lake by now.

    bass fishing is good there....some good quality fish in that lake. It reminds me of Grand Lake or Lake of the Ozarks with all fo the boat docks. Crappie I have caught there have been on the small side. There is also brush in the center of the cove between the gazebo and the ramp.

    After the KDWP gets the fish feeder filled and running I can be found out there with the 10 ft B&M crappie pole spooled with braid tied to a circle hook. :D
