    Default Autumn Fishing

I have always been a spring crappie fisherman and have just recently got into crappie fishing at night. What should i expect for late summer/early fall. Do they move back to the shallows? Is night fishing still effective? thanks
What's worse, to be in church wishing you were fishin' or to be fishin' and know you should be in church?

In the Fall the Crappie will start followin the shad into the mouths of feeder creeks, ect. Channel intersections are another likely spot. They will start schooling up and put on the feedbags for Winter. When you get on a school bustin shad it doesnt get much better! I for one enjoy Fall Crappie fishin more then Spring. We catch most in 8-10 ft. of water on jigs.Never overlook lay & blowdowns either,I"ve caught a bunch off these in that depth!!Hope this helps ya some!!

They are busting this year's shad crop here now. It can get to where you can only fish 1 pole quickly if you find the right spot.
