That's interesting Toby. The last two times I've cleaned crappie(both from Normandy) some of the fillets have a yellowish tint to them. But on the other hand some have had eggs that are very firm for this late in the spring.
I was reading about this on another forum and wondered if any of my fellow club members have any thoughts about this or have you ever seen your crappie fillets seem to be real yellow. I read this happens when your female dont get her spawn in and just absorbs her eggs back into her body.I found the forum interesting and thought maybe somebody here may have something to say about this topic.
