    have any of you fly tying grus seen this before? yeah i notice that it didnt work. but now i am having trouble finding the post were i read it. i think i was on georgia out door news website under the fly fishing section. if i fin it i will try and relink it.a nd i will see if i can get the atrticle to post.

    Yeah, that's where it is. That thread links to the Fly of the Week at FAOL.

    IMO, it's a nice-looking fly but WAY too much work. There are much easier cricket patterns out there (the Letort Cricket, for example.)

    Stick to woolly buggers and standard trout nymphs, and you'll catch all the gills you want.

    not that one ,i have tied some like it,the legs are heat shrink. they are not hard to make,i use a small pair of needle nose pliers and a bic lighter. i thank anyone can make those legs,takes a little practice,but not that hard to do at all.
