Default Gun control again, will we let them win?

HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009
Please send this to everybody on your list... this is Obama guncontrol by secrecy.

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House.
This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar.
To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

    ..It is registered
    .You are fingerprinted
.You supply a current Driver's License
.You supply your Social Security #
.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
.Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25
    - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.

.There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

The Government would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this..

It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the wordalong.

FAILURE TO DO SO AT YOUR PERIL!

Any hunters in your family - pass this along.

Peter Boyles is on this and having guests. Listen to him on KHOW 630 a.m. in the morning.

He suggests the best way to fight this is to tell all your friends about it and "spring into action".

Also he suggests we all join a pro-gun group like the Colorado Rifle Association, hunting associations, gun clubs and especially the NRA..

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.

The Second Amendment... .America's original homeland security

Repeat: If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this..

We've been discussing this here in West TN as well. It's not a conspiracy theory and we're not paranoid, they're trying to take our rights away one sneaky step at a time.

Goverment and left wing people will never learn that the people that follow the law are not the problem. I hope one day the rest will wake up, stand up, and take this country back! Just to protect yourself you have to jump though hoops and spend money, purely BS.

I have enough guns to do me the rest of my lifetime, have stocked up on ammo lately, probably enough of that to do me the rest of my life, and I'm not worrying. Is this for people buying new guns?

This is the first time I heard this, do you think they'll honestly come door-to-door and check each residence for guns?

This bill has been discussed here before. I don't think it has a prayer of becoming law (although, I'm sure many in Congress would LOVE to see it become a law.) Here's the current status:

This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Introduced bills and resolutions first go to committees that deliberate, investigate, and revise them before they go to general debate. The majority of bills and resolutions never make it out of committee. [Last Updated: Apr 18, 2009 3:39PM]

This is nothing different than what I had to give to purchase 2 guns here recently. All of this info was required to register. I don't have a problem with it as long as they don't try to take them from me. I would rather know that the people purchasing weapons are legal, law obiding, respectful citizens, rather than registered criminals. Case in point, went a few weeks ago to buy a new shotgun and the place was busy. They had one person entering the personal info into the computer for approval and I overheard him ask one of the guys a question about his SSN. He told the gentleman that they were having computer problems and should only be a few more minutes. 5 minutes later a cop walks in the door and pulls one of the employees outside. He comes back in and 3 more cops come in and ask for the guy to step outside. Turns out he was wanted for agg. assault in MS. and was denied his right to register a firearm. After this, I talked with the shop owner and asked how often this happens and he stated this was the 3 time in 4 years that he has been open. The system does work given that this is their only purpose for this info. JMO.

Big difference what your describing and what they want. Back ground check is one thing but to have to basically obtain a permit to have them that is based on some Govt agency's blessing is another.

We already have it in IL. Its called a "Firearms Owners Idenification Card" or FOID card. Right now its a measly $10 for 5 years but Mr Obama was in support of raising it to $500/yr. Now have you ever known of anything cheap in the Fed govt? What do you figure the cost will be??

Oh and another little tidbit is that you have to have that card for everyone in your household or they would be in violation of the law the minute they were alone in the house with the gun whether it is locked in a safe or standing in the corner.
