Shoals Area crappie association fished their classic today on Pickwick. 6 teams was able to fish today. We started out with cloudy skies and a little wind but 40 minutes into the tournament a bad thunderstorm come up quick sending teams for cover whereever they could get but once the storm was gone it turned out to be a half decent day. Pickwick is flooded right now and they was pulling water all day which also made the creeks get muddy as the day went on but with all this going on all the teams managed to bring fish to the scales.
1st- Keith Dodd and Donald Ledbetter with 8.74#s
2nd- David and Bud Waters with 7.23#s
Big fish- David and Jimmy McCarley with 1.73( These guys have had big fish the last 3 tournaments)
Good job everyone for another safe and fun day on the water. Remember our new season starts over June 20 and it will be on cedar. The awards meal will be june 16 at momma jenes at 6pm.
