    can you take two batteries and wire them togather and get 12volts to a trolling motor that is 12volt.

    if they are 12 v. pos-pos and neg-neg still 12 but more staying power
    if they are 6 v. pos-neg and the pos. and neg. left are 12v.

    I ran an inline fuse between mine[pos-pos,neg-neg] so when running the gas motor it helps charge the trolling battery.Less trips to the charger!!

    If you are looking to increase your reserve capacity or just give you longer run time yes. But you need to use compatatble battieries. Another words the same type and same age. If you use a single charger, as soon as it senses one of them charged, it stops charging or goes into a maintenance mode and one of them will never get fully charged.
