    Can anyone give me advice I am only 16 never caught a crappie

    Don't know much about the lake. Find a map of it and water temps. Talk to any local bait shops and they should be able to give you an idea.

    Yes I'm a local in the area crappies at berryessa area availiable all over the lake with the west shore being a favorite of myself and most others, for the boat docks and abundance of underwater structure. If you can't make it on the water try the marina and docks at spanish flats or monticello being one of my favorites for a sure fire bank spot to catch nice Slabs of crappie. keep your catch out of the water to avoid the muskrats and other large beaver type rodents that make the lake there home. I've had and seen a bad day many times with chunks of flesh being taken from my catch or my rope stringger chewed clean through and losing all my days work of fish. Geno
