    Default Upside down garden

Planted upside down garden, fisnished up 1/2 hour ago.
The first bucket has pickles growing from the bottom
The rest of the buckets have tomato plants
Flowers are planted in the top of the buckets

No weeding, staking, no bending over

That's a great idea, I've been hearing about this method, thanks for sharing a photo.

First off........when you have a gift card for home depot you go will the color buckets they have (ugh)

On goggle search everybody was recommended 2" hole.........after fooling around with the system intend to agree. First year for me

Take ground cloth (weed blocker) and cut it about the size of the bottom of the bucket.

Feed the plant from the bottom into the hole of the bucket. Up threw
the slit in the weed blocker, then put about 1/3 dirt into the bucket
and tap it down, to make sure you have the plant secured ok.

Then hang the bucket and finishing filling the bucket, that way
you dont have to lift all that dirt up by yourself.

    According to research google 155,000
Most people agree that tomatos are germ free
    mature 2 weeks earilier
    no staking
    no weeding
One could plant herbs in the top
Fall just yank out the plant

Best part that did not take up lot of space

Good looking idea there. Guess you all don't have those pesky gray squirrels in your area. Years ago I finally gave up trying to grow tomatoes because of those squirrels climbing on and breaking my tomato vines, carrying off the tomatoes or just taking a bite out of the tomatoes on the vines.

Looking at your set up I was thinking if I was to try that I would have to build a complete cage around the plants just to keep the squirrels off the plants. Naw that's more work than I want to do guess I'll just keep going to the market for my tomatoes.

Dont think you have no worries,be hard for a squirrel to stand on its head hangin onto the plastic bucket to get to the bottom on it to eat ur maters this way :D

Nice job Bob,looks good & just the right height to pickem when ready also.
