Got a call this afternoon from the Cleburne County Sherriff's Office with good news, they found all my gear. The officer said I could pick it up maybe as soon as next week. From the sound of it they found everybodies items. It was adults not kids so maybe they will get some jail time.

Got no use for theives need to lock them up and put them on a chain gang and make them work for their food and room.

Great you got your stuff back! Sounds like you got a good Sherriff's department in your town.

your stuff again. I hope they throw away the key on those guys

Let us know if you do in fact get all of your stuff back. Hopefully it will all be there and not damaged. Sounds like you're going to be trolling bandits a lot in the future, with all the ones you just bought, plus your old ones.

With your getting your stuff back so soon, it seems they don't need it for a trial. They probably plead guilty for a reduced sentence. Remember that their arrest is public information and you can get their names and what they were charges with. Their names may be useful to you in the furture. (grin)

I wish the law enforcement in my area would catch a thief every now and then. Congrats to the police and you, creekslick, most everyone in my neck of the woods have to do their own detective work to find stolen goods.

Trust me. You are better off not knowing what "justice" they receive. They probably get fine and community service...

How did the sheriff identify the equipment as yours? I am in the process of labeling all my rods, electronics, etc. with my name and phone number. I am tired of the lazy theives that steal. At the slabfest in april at Westpoint, the park ranger gave us a heads up that theives were coming by boat and stealing equipment. One guy had his friend launch his boat, tie it up, and take his truck to the parking area which was 50+ yds away. On the way back to his boat he observe a boat with two men pull up next to his boat, one man got in his boat and took his equipment. They were in a bass boat with a big motor and he only had, I believe a 25hp.

He never got his equipment back.

I went to the Sheriff's Office this afternoon to get my gear. Really was not worth the trip, most of my rods were broken no crankbaits no 797si and only about half of my rods. But at least they caught the 2 low lives that stole it. And to top it off they had been using some of my rod and reels fishing with them.

I was the only one that had Wally Marshall rods with line counter reels reported stolen. Also most of my ultra lights had the tips painted white for night fishing.

Tightline Specials 8' 10' 14' 18'. Did not get to try the 18'er just got them about 2 months ago but the others worked well last summer pulling Bandits 300s.

Does HB keep track of the serial number on those that are reported stolen. Maybe they could use that list to identify those that are stolen when the unit request repair or update.

Awesome News!!! So glad to hear that the good guy wins one every now and then. I was sad to see it when you said it looked like you were out of the fishing business due to low life criminal idiots. Glad to know you will be throwin' a line out again with your own stuff and not more gear you had to buy to replace it with. Tell the police we all said "Good Job!!!"
