having problems with the 83 khz i am picking up lines all over the screen can not see anything . switch over to the 200khz clear as a bell .

CT, have you been tinkering with the settings? If so you might want to go back to the default factory settings to see if it clears up. If it does then you can go back to tinkering.

i have the hds 5 with lake insight detail on the map is ok. gps is out standing the 200khz sonar is real good you can pick the fish up in the brush,bottom and the surface . if i could get the 83 khz to work like it should would be alot better.
