Default What type of crankbait for pulling on umbrella rig?

What type of crankbait for pulling on umbrella rig? I will be putting #oo mirror finish Colorado blades on each arm and pull a crankbait from center just want a little help on crankbaits haven't fished them a lot. I think the combo with the blades will be a new way to fish the newest and crappiest bait down there.

do a search on trolling crankbaits, and you will see a lot mentioned,
ya'll know I'm one of the first "in" on trying something new, but have one
concern with this: One of the things that I love about trolling cranks is
the repeatable depth control it gives, after you get used to a particular
bait, line weight, amount of line - anything that changes the amount of
drag - jig on a trailer, or this, is gonna drastically affect running depth,
and require "re-calibration" of your depths! Probably nothing a little time
and experimentation can't fix, but something to think about. I envisoned
using the 'brella rigs in a "power trolling" situation, 3-5 ounces of lead in-line
ahead of it, pushing fast (+- 2.0 mph) with the gas motor. Good luck with
it, do all the leg work, and then tell us :D

    Ok, normally, a 200 or 300 Bandit, deep flat A Bomber, 1/4 oz Hot-N-Tot,
Norman deep Baby N, or occasionally a deep Little N. That should be some
help. By no means is this all that will work - forgot the old Rebel Deep Wee R,
regular model A Bomber, you name it, if it is 2 - 2 1/2" long, it will probably
work somewhere, sometime. Have heard a lot of folks, particularly up North,
like shad raps, I personally don't, but who knows? With some additional
weight, a small minnow bait or "Spot" type bait ought to work good too.

    Exclamation Kingfisher .....

I'll go you one better - here's a couple of links showing two different types of umbrella rigs --

    http://www.nefishingtackle.com/umbrella_rigs.htm

    http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...=7510101020603

As you can see ... it's like the "spokes" that hold an umbrella open - or shaped like them, or shaped like an "umbrella". (actually it looks more like a wind chime or childs toy mobile ... ... but, you get the picture ...LOL!!) ............. cp
