Fished our company bass/crappie tournament saturday and ended up taking 3rd. place for crappie and wieghed in one bass for 7th place. Was thinking of not wieghing in the bass but sure am glad that we did because it won us the lucky seven spot which came with a $25.oo check and two free nice rod and reels. On top of our crappie winnings we came out preety good.
All the crappie we caught were in about one foot of water as far back in the cove you could get. All but one was female out of 15 fish.
Family came down from St. Louis and fished the Grand and had a great day Saturday. Caught there limits all up shallow with mostly all males. Hope they leave some for us locals.
