    Default Good, inexpensive spinning reel...

Anyone using a good inexpensive spinning reel they would recommend. I need to buy four new ones in ultra lite size for some night fishing rods i am setting up. Would like to stay below 30 bucks per reel.

I really like the Plueger Trion spinning reels, the small ultra light size cost about 30.00.

I would agree with ad1974. I have two Plueger Trion spinning reels. I love both of them. I just bought the second one a few weeks ago. I was going to buy the Plueger President but opted for the Trion after I spent more on the Rod than I first expected. I bought a St. Criox light rod. I forgot which series; but, the setup is awesome. One plus the rod is made in USA.

I like the Plueger Presidents. It's a very smooth reel for the money.

I'd have to say check out some of the lower cost Shimano's. I'd stay away from the AX series as I've had other friends who have them tell me they really bite.

These are the CX series but you can look at all the Shimano's here Shimano CX RB Spinning Reels

I have a couple of the Shimano IX R1000s, can't get much more inexpensive nor more reliable, IMHO. You can get them for $(.95 10 about $15.00. They also make 2000 and 4000 series in this reel, all the same price. Definitely nothing fancy about them. I do a lot of casting jigs and small CBs, haven't worn the reels out in 2 years of use.
