Big or small or none is better than sitting in the house.... it was a nice day and thanks for the pic.......
Man we had a tough day beating the banks here, we tried everything from bass, crappie, catfish, and even resorted to trying to catch some big carp but the only thing we caught were 3 of these:
That's my nephew Todd and his first MO Crappie
And a blue gill half the size of the crappie in that pic.
But yea !! we didn't get skunked !!

A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
It was a beautiful day to be out, Quinn. Gotta love that smile on his face.

Don't think it would of made a bit of difference if that fish was 4" or 14" to that young man........ha had a good day anyhow!!!

Looks big enough to mount if you were judging by that smile on his face. It was a perfect spring day to be on the water. I seen a smile like that a few times in the back of my boat yesterday.
Rugs, he will remember you taking the time to take him fishing,WTG! Look forward to meeting you at camp!
rugs I got several cousins what live in california(yuck) any way they use to come to MO. when they was young, Ole Uncle Michael (thats what they called me) would take them fishing on the creek down the road from my uncle Elmer. catch a few bull head, and some pearch, those kids would squell and laugh, 40 years later they still talk about it and how much fun the hill folks are. so i told you that to tell you this, it dont matter if you dont get a bunch. you got a bunch of memories the kid will remember for years, hook a kid on fishing, best thing i can think of to get hooked on.
Well, that is what life is all about (to quote your pm earlier). My wife and her sisters had a pretty rough up-bringing and my sister-in-law really took a turn for the worst. She has many kids, 8 of which live here up the road from us in Marshall. My wife and I encouraged her and her husband to move up here from AK so we could help get these kids on a good path. Their step father tries to get them out but he works allot and I have the time. I am just doing what I think is the right thing and "paying forward" what I had when I was young, my parents although divorced would take us fishing and camping when they could, but these kids need this kind of interaction with a responsible adult.
Not patting myself on the back, just trying to do my part.
