Default Woods Res report May 2nd 2009

Went to Woods today for the afternoon.Got on water at 12:45 fishing a new spot for me. Found fish pretty quick and boated number one at 1:15 on the nose. It was about 1 1/2 lb fish. This was new spot for me and boated 4 more within the hour and then poof, it was over.Went on to fish 5 or 6 other places and found fish on 3 of those spots. Came back to hole 1 and caught two more nice fish at days end there. Got me a new place. All together caught about 30 fish and somewhere around 20 was keepers but I didnt want to clean a bunch of 10 and 10 and a half inch fish tonight. I only kept 8 but those 8 weighed in at 10 lb and 6 oz.Weather was perfect today for fishing.I caught all of my fish in 17 ft or deeper. Some the females still had eggs but most had just some leftovers in them.Fish was tight to cover today and or right on the bottom. I took a picture of my depth finder today during my catching these nicer fish. I was asked to by a member to show what it looks like on my depth finder when there is crappie below.Hope this information helps somebody catch fish. Im sure thankful to those who have helped me and I am still learning.

    Default Fish Finder Pictures

Here is what I seen on the depth/fish finder while catching some nice fish. These fish was basically right on the bottom. I used about 2 or 3 cranks up off bottom.

good looking fish, toby it looks like you are really wearing them out at woods!!!
i rode up to normandy sunday afternoon to check it out, water at barton springs was really up they're several picnic tables underwater.talked with a local guy there who said is neighbor has been catching alot of crappie,he said he goes just about everyday.that was the 1st time i have ever seen normandy and i have to say it is a beautiful lake, may try to fish it more often.i checked the dam and they had both gates open an alot of water was being released.ran into a downpour of rain on the home.it rained on us from tullahoma to vanntown.
