Congrats Whistler and son. Theres a memory for life.
My 13yo boy and I fished our 1st tourney today out of Coffman Beach @ Lake of the Ozarks. There were 21 boats in it and we finished 6th. I was tickled to death to take home a check in our 1st tourney. My boy had a blast, he caught some nice fish. We weighed 10 fish, 1st place was 11.46 (I think) and we had 8.63. Not a great stringer for us, but we had a great time and got some tourney experience under our belts. Sorry, didnt have the camera or I'd throw up some pics.

It takes two to tango, sure was a nice day,low wind, and a little cloudy, perfect day to spend with a son, daughter, or buddy....
A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
Congrats on your first tourney. Sounds like a great time with you son.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'
Congrats on the great finish! Keep him fishing.

Can You Find, "LIMITVILLE!!!" :D
Outstanding, Whistler and son! Did you fish in the Gravois? Details man, details.
Mike
We never left the Gravois Arm. Indian Creek and Mill Creek. Our bigger fish came from Mill Creek off docks close to the mouth of the cove on secondary points in roughly 18fow. They were hitting it about 6ft down in front of the docks. We caught most on Bobby Garland Baby Shad's, but a couple came off Slab Busters (my boy loves his backward chicken slab buster :D )

Congrats on a great tourney and a greater day spent with your son. Memories, the stuff that lasts a lifetime.
