You The Man!!!!!
Went out Sat morning (7:30 to 10 am). Boated about 30 fish, and kept 8. Found the fish in about 14ft of water in the flats. Fish were on the drops (15 to 20 ft), but couldn't get a taker. Water temp about 82 degrees when I started, but jumped to 87 by 10 am. Wind came up, so I headed home. Went out again Sunday morn, couldnt' find the fish. Finally got on a few dinks about 9:30, but the wind came up again. I headed in for breakfast. I covered a lot of water only to get 8 fish, but, hey it is supper. Caught most fish with jigs tipped with minnows. The fish were hugging the bottom of the lake. The bite was real soft. I made a lot of "empty" hook sets. haha..
It was hotttttttttt!!!! I saw no one fishing and only a couple of jetters and very few pleasure boaters. I had a good time.

Nice catch CP
If they are hugging the bottom wonder if 'dragging' a rig similar to Carolina Rig would work for crappies as well as other species. Think I may try it using something like Gene Larew crappie spider.
my hero!!! - when I grow up I want to be just like you... especially with a house on the lake
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
