    Default Slackwater Channel

Anyone catching any in the slackwater channel below Truman Dam? The fish were on fire there this time of the year last year. I would think they would be going by now.

Fished it a few times last year when you could almost walk across it on boats. Still had plenty of fish for everyone. Loved catching 2 or 3 at a time. Most were good quality fish.

I ran up there after snagging on Saturday. There were 20-25 boats, that's a lot but no where near last year! Everybody was catching fish, however they were all 6-7 inches and very few keepers. After talking to about five boats I didn't stay, we had four spoonbill to take care of.
