    Default Boat trailer setup

I just purchased a used boat and trailer. Looking at the trailer none of the rollers are touching the boat at any time. Need a little help on setting it up.

i just ran out and looked at mine, they aint touching the boat either. The rollers are just guides and the boat should be sitting on the carpeted wooded pads. The rollers just act as a giude to center the boat.

Thanks! You would think they would come in contact at some point. But these are good 3" or 4" from the hull.

If they are towards the rear of the trailer they probably come into contact with the boat when loading it only.

Your right. But the center and front don't come in contact with the boat at any time.

Thats common. When they made the trailer they didn't know exactly what type of boat that was going to be put on it.

So adjust them up to the hull? How much pressure should they have on the boat hull? Thanks.

Leave them where they are. They are to guide the boat while loading. The weight of the boat should be on the bunks.

Thanks, I looked at few other trailers today and all of them look the same. I will leave them alone. Thanks again.
