    Default My biggest fish yet


    Tues. I went crappie hunting by myself in sloughs off the lower Alabama River and caught the bigest one yet. I was fishing minnows in tree tops and hooked this 16 inch 2lb 5oz crappie. The fish wrapped a limb on me and I had to do some fast limb pulling. I turned on the trolling motor and started pulling limbs to get to the fish. There was a bost about 40 yards away and they were looking at me wondering what I was doing. I was breaking limbs and the trolling motor was wacking limbs and making a lot of noise. I got to the fish and liped her and I was thinking if I fell in I was not going to turn loose. I am going to put this one on the wall and hope to catch a bigger one next trip.

    Be sure to wrap her in newspaper before you put her in the freezer. That's what the taxidermist that did mine told me to do with the next one.
    The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!
