I saw this crappie on the "front page". I don't know how long that guys arm is but if it is as long as mine that is a big crappie.

Congradulations!

.. to be about 14-15 inches long.

I'm 6'1" with a wingspan of over 70 inches ... and fingertip to elbow bend is a little over 15 inches.
Fish looks to be about the same length as the ones we caught at Watts Bar, over the Easter Weekend. Huge' uns ... as my partners called 'em :D

I don't think anyone could argue the point of not calling that fish .. a shor'nuff Slab :p

Goodness, CP...what's wrong with your arms?
Ha! J/k, but seriously I'm only 5'10" and that measurement is 17 1/2" on my skinny arms.
I've actually caught one sacalait in my life that almost made completed that measurement for me...too bad it was paper thin...weighed a lil less than 2 1/2lbs. :(

That's a good way to photograph 'em, fer sur. Lately we have been catching 14 and 15-inch fish--just not a lot of 'em.

Fish should be photographed up close and personal with something of reference included in the photo. I open my tape measure and place it in the bottom part of the photo with my largest fish of the day right beside it, so people can see for themselves what's goin' on. Without something to scale the photo, the crappie can look just 'normal.'
