Went out early Sunday morning for a day of fishing and did fairly well got some nice size gills and a few crappie to boot

Glad I fillet these at the lake and didnt wait until I got home to do it.

Doctor put me on baked fish only and they just dont look as good or taste anywhere near as good as some golden brown fried crappie or gills. Picture of baked crappie I think would not have the same effect as some of pics i have already seen on C.C. How my taste buds crave for some fried crappie :D

Doc, that is some of the nicest filleting I have seen. I like the way you get all there is to get, don't see that much anymore. We found a pretty good baked fish recipe: Dip the fillet in beaten egg with a tbsp of oil in it. Roll in crushed corn flakes and bake @425 for 15 min on a greased baking pan. Not as good as fried but pretty close. How do you like that micro-master rod you ordered?

Nice job with the fillet knife, clean looking fillets.
