good fish tom.....looks like you need to rig up a umbrella on your boat.....
Honey and I went out early Sat. morning. Only got a couple of keepers after fishing a couple of hours. First time we went out that early in 10 or so years. Heck with that. We came in about 8:30 as Paul was coming to visit. He got there about the time we got to the house. Paul and I went "scouting" and dropped off a few more crappie condos. This took most of the day. It was HOT, but we got the job done. Honey and I enjoyed Paul's visit. We didn't fish Sat afternoon as I was pooped.
Sunday morning (about 8:00), Honey and I hit the water. By noon, we had caught over sixty fish. Lots of tater chips. They (dinks) were everywhere. We managed to get 12 good fish though. Again, the bite was soft. Sometimes you could not tell you had a fish on. We fished 8 to 15 ft, with the majority taken in the 10 foot range. We were mainly floating minnows. I did manage to "stick" a few with pumpkin seed and chartruse jigs. Water temp varied from 81 to 86 degrees. Water level varying 3 to 5 inches daily. Water color was some what dingy. Lake level hovering near 357. Winter draw down
is well underway.

Sounds like you catch fish about any day you get out.
Hope I get where I can do that some day.

Got ya fine Tom. I'm a towboat Pilot & I run the Tn. river, so I am very familiar with that area from the channel. Boy that bridge you guys have at Paris is a B**** when we have to stuff 30 thru there, and the wind is blowing!!! I have fished Standing Rock many years ago with my ol'buddy Dale Sykes, he's from Dover. Is the crappie fish'n pretty good down there now?
If you're out fish'n & see the M/V Thomas R. Vorholt, hold a Slab up when I go by.
Later,
