Normandy report

I believe I will start calling Normandy "Dead Sea II". I fished for 5 hours and caught only dinks and a few brim. I took an old friend out that I haven't seen in years. It was the nicest day I've been out this year but the fish didn't care. We hit the spots on the other side of Fire Lake Bridge, Crumpton Creek and the pumping station. I even threw my trusty smallmouth crankbait at the pumping station trying to catch something worthy but they didn't even touch it; I caught 8 their last week. The water was up a bit since then but don't know why it was hard today. Most people at the dock were skunked too.

I gave normandy a try today. I had the same luck as you todd. Caught 8 crappie, all black nose, all about 9 inchs. Went on the other side of firelake bridge. Tried the places fatboy showed me. Caught all the fish off of 2 places. Lots of trash and logs in the water and there was a bass tourn. going on. Those guys are nuts.
