    Default And, H'bird 565

I was on a budget but I knew I wanted some kind of depth finder/locator in my boat. The last unit I had was from the 80's and was a flasher. After reading here I settled on the 565 to help me fill the boat with crappie and it got it's shakedown trip today. I gotta say, after using that flasher so many years ago, this thing was a real joy. Watch the bottom and the fish go by... Lord but life is good. I'm tickled.

I use and old Eagle Ultra Classic, 160 vertical pixels, and if I was going to get a new one, other than a SI unit, would be a HB 565.

Grandad, I bought myself one at tax time. Then bought the hockey puck transducer for the tmotor and the switch to let me go from front tducer to rear. I'm impressed. Shows all I need and made the bank quiver a little, but didn't break it. Nice machine. Much better than the last one I had(eagle).

My vote is with the 565 also...great finder. Thinking of a 596c upgrade. Anyone have any comment on the 596c ? It seems to be an upgraded color version of the 565 with the same screen resolution...
