Default NEW! Wading for Crappie Spring Slab Pic

Well guys and gals pulled this pig and a few more like-um off the shore lines in the creek this week! She had these shad and others like her just thrashing shad up shallow. Caught this crappie on BNB Crappie jig, 1/16oz Peach/blue using a berkly crappie nibble tip hk.Looks like this year just could be our best year yet!. This fish weighed in about 2/3/4lbs and i had a few others like her most of these fish had lengths of 17 inch and thick. No snakes yet but i suspect that to change but ill be ready for that and a few more toads as well. Take a look!!

    Same fish!

A 17 inch crappie around here weighs about 1 1/2 LB. Must have been some fight!

    I can't even imagine a 17" crappie only weighing 1 1/2 pounds.

spring time in the shallows w/ a 4 wt. flyrod...one of my favorite times. Good job.

Sounds like you had a great day of fishing Dale. Must be a blast to be able to sneak up on them like that. (Is that how sneeky pete got his name or was it his character.) There ain't no place to do that where I live.
