I bought one of those that extends in 4 pieces at Wallyworld the other day for 9 dollars. It surprised me its not bad for an artificial cane pole. I think its a Shakesphere something. It will do for live bait fishing just fine

They have them at the bait shop in Decatur.
Coosa Corner gas station and bait shop at the corner of hwy 411 and hwy 68 (old Citco) has the Zebco 13 footers with a small trigger spin for $19.99. I think they are called Zebco Crappie Cane Poles or something. I bought two and have been pleased. Only complaint is they don't hold much 6 lb line. I was using them for trolling and had most of the line out. One break off and I had to respool.
Otherwise, It's tough to beat $20 with a reel!
