Default a "what would you do"fishing senario

Ok, dont think about it, whatever the first answer comes to mind.

Fishing in your local spot for crappies, will say typical pre-spawn fishing, not blazing fast action, but enough to keep you interested.
Your throwing a chartruse twister grub with a black head in 1/16.
As the day progresses, the action picks up a little, and just as it does, you swiftly break off your LAST black/chartruse jig. Now what???...

You have multiple different baits in similar colors, but not the twister grub
you have multiple twister grubs, just not in anything close to that color....

What bait do you pick? color or bait style?

Just for fun guys, was curious how your mind works.

Stay with color & try other baits in that color til I find one working.

i wouldnt know . i have never been crappie fishing when i didnt carry more than enough of what i fish to make it through the day for 2 people. so i guess what i would do is reach in my tackle bag and bring out another of what they are biting. of course i only use a few baits and i normally carry 60 - 100 of each that i use. if who ever i am fishing with starts losing that many jigs i would put them out on the bank and let them walk home.

Same head, and put on the same grub body in white. If that didn't work right away, I would go the other way and use a more gold color.

To me, in a spawn scenario, the color shouldn't matter. If they are on the bed, they'll attack anything that drops in on them.

color just don t matter that much to the fish. if they see it they will hit it .
fisherman on the other hand love to fuss about color.
catching any kind of fish is all about depth and speed .
