Default Truman Lake Upper Osage Today

Well We Started At Tally Bend Ramp At 7am, Water Was 51 Degrees And Water Looked Pretty Good, Tried Trolling A Creek And Had One Dink, Lucky My Brother In Laws Friend Had Shown Him Some Brush Piles In 10' To 14' Foot So We Started Nailing Them There About 8' Down. Tried The Creek Again Around Noon Picked Up 1 Keeper Ended Up With About 20 Nice Fish Then Took Pics And Released. Water Had Warmed Up To 53 Degrees By Noon. We Quit At 1:30pm. I Even Tried The Banks With A Cork And Jig About 2' Down,,,, Nothing. Now The Braided Results, I Like It, Strong As Hell Straightened Out Double Jig Hooks, But All I Could Get Was Moss Green Last Night To Darn Hard To See... So We Stopped At Everharts And Got Me Some Of Gary's Orange Braid Suffix, And By The Way For Week-enders There Bait Shop Part Opens At 5:30 Fri Sat & Sun Am. Had A Excellent Day Not Much Wind.... Will Try Berry Bend Friday........

Sure beats working. Your boat looks quite a bit different with out the silver enclosure. Nice fish!

Nice job Monty. Wish I could have been there with you. It's been a day from HELL here at the office.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

Wow, great pictures!! And nice fish too!! Would you say you had the most success then, fishing over the submerged brush piles? Or did you guys fish some standing timber and see results as well?

    Thanks, MoFire

Nice looking fish I use Power Pro for a lot of diffrent types of fishing. It shure saves on the re-tying and you dont lose as many jigs or cranks. Plus the feel is great.

Good job, Monty. We spider rigged out of Bucksaw - had a ball. Cleaned 20. Had a few dandies. Can't wait 'til tomorrow.
Jim - Have boat - will travel.
