Default No Crappie but a Turkey Dinner

No luck this weekend on crappie but some on the turkey. Went after lunch on Saturday and two were a gobblin at the crows. Setup and called them in and once they seen the decoy it was nothing but struttin and spittin. Blasted the one I thought was the biggest. He weighed just a little over 20lbs had a 10.5" beard and 1 1/4" spurs. Nothing like a good turkey dinner for easter.

All my buddies turkey hunt but I dont. I tell them that even if I did kill one all I would have is a dang turkey. I'd rather be crappie fishing. Congrats on your turkey.

I've just recently been hooked on turkey hunting and you have to go and post up a picture like that?!!! I actually saw that picture and immediately left for dicks sporting goods for more gear. Now I'm in trouble and broke all because of you.

All jokes aside that's a beautiful bird and I can imagine it put on a nice show for you.

Whompus, get use to the addiction it just gets worse the more you hunt em. I have been hunting for about 5 years now and between crappie fishing and turkey hunting, well lets just say the reason I work is to pay for my habits. Thanks for all the post fellas.

chief, I figured I'd open the bait shop about the time I get married. Won't need the stuff anymore.

My brother killed 2 opening Saturday. I think he could call one up in the Wallmart parking lot. They love to hear him talk turkey.

To me, Butterball taste alot better. I killed a turkey once, was like eating baked jerky flavored with turkey.
    I don't fish because I want to, I fish because I HAVE to !
