    Default Reel Foot Lake Tennessee

I am thinking about taking a trip to fish Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee.
Does anyone know any guides they would recommend from there?

what time of the year do you fish for crappie and what method do you use. i've caught a lot of bluegill there but always seem to mis the crappie.

According to a close friend that is a park ranger there, and he fishes and hunts it a lot, the 2nd week of April, crappie are usually good and weather has usually gotten better than in March. But I'm sure you could go up in October and hammer the crappie too. There are some good bass and a lot of them in the lake also, so don't overlook them just because of the reputation of the crappie and bream fishery. If the crappie aren't doing much you could always try to catch green carp. I haven't done too much fishing up there but I have hunted up there quite a bit. I love that place. I plan on living there before I die.
