    Default cork and jig combo

When casting a cork and jig, what ya'll think of the rattlin' pear floats with the BBs in them by Mr Crappie?

... and with success, but not so convinced that they are any better than any "non-rattling" pear clip-on float. I understand the concept of the rattles ... calling attention to your float ... since I've used rattles in plastic worms & craws, Bass fishing, for years, with much success. But, therein lies the rub .... you're calling attention to the float, and the bait is or can be many feet away. Not so sure that is all that much in your favor ... if you catch my drift. About the only obvious positive, that they have going for them, is that you can cast them a good distance.

I like 'em when fishing shallow or need the extra weight for distance.

I like em. Even if the rattle does nothing the extra weight for casting is why I grab em. I have even taken some of my other bobbers and put bb's in them what you use in a bb gun, then sealed the hole I drilled with bondo.

Used e'm , but did not see their any better than a Comal Tackle 1.5 weighted pear float. I love them this time of year for a cover the water search bait, if you want flash add a RoadRunner, we had clients out last Sat. and I watched the locator screen all the fish / bait were in the top 3' of the water column if you pass these rigs overhead they usually react, once you locate them ....time to set up on e'm! I rig these on the bottom snap only as I can make the jigs dance up a storm, and the wighted aspect lets you cast farther and more accurate.

I use a slip bobber. I can catch crappie from two foot to 20 plus feet. Depends on the situation that day. I use the same method for salmon and steelhead. No, I'm not trolling out of a boat.

Sounds like the might work. It's all in your head. If you got confidence in it, then go for it!
