    Talking Thanks again, Crappiepappy

For telling us about horseweed worms. Ever since you posted that on the old forum, we've collected some from the waste areas of our place to use for bluegill fishing in midsummer. We went out Saturday with a couple dozen of them and caught a nice bunch of fish. We lost a few too that wrapped around the tree top we were fishing, but that's part of the game. Those worms are tough and can hold up through three or four fish. Wish I could figure out how to raise them commercially.
We'll take some crappie fishing this w/e and see if the shorter days are starting to trigger more aggresive feeding. - Roberta

Thumbs up Not at all, Roberta ...

glad to see some of my "expertise" is paying off :D

You got to watch them rod tips, though ... them Catfish like them worms as much as the Longear & Redbreast Sunfish that we used to fish for ....LOL!! We used to always fish a deep water point, back up in a large creek at our local lake ... getting them worms down to around 18-20ft, before the little guys could catch ahold of them, was a trick in itself !! Used to have to put two #4 split shot sinkers on the line (8lb test) and let'er fall, as fast as it would go, till it hit the bottom ... a lot of times, when we cranked the sinker up off the bottom a few inches, we'd already have a nice "sunfish" on ...LOL!! ........... luck2ya ...cp
