Good luck this weekend. I have to work Friday and Saturday but have the following 4 days off. Guess where I will be? Oh yeah, it's crappie time in Northern Michigan. Sunday evening will start on a 30 acre lake just a few miles from home. They should be hitting good there but tend to run on the smaller size, 7 -9 inchers, but great for the fryer. Then it is off to a lake in Gladwin where the big slabs roam. Usually this time of year we get into quite a few in the 12 - 15 inch range. Monday and Tuesday I am just going to wing it and go wherever my car and kayak take me. All I know for sure is I will be crappie fishing for 4 days. Will post pics next week.
    FISH ON!!!!!!!

I grew up fishing Shenango and Pymatuning but settled in SE Virginia which is a good thing since our lakes don't freeze over and I fish every weekend. I lived in Sharpsville and at the time had no idea what a great crappie lake Shenango is.
