We headed down to Rush Run yesterday afternoon to hit the second best fishing period on the solunar calendar since we got rained out at dawn.
We decided to park off the dam to try some craw tails we had and I caught a couple of 12" channel cats that had probably been cruising the rocks for the live version. They went back to grow up a little.

We then tied up to a couple of stands of flooded timber in 25 feet of water to fish for bluegills, which the lake is managed for. 27 total - kept 13 between 7 and 8 1/2 inches. All were taken on stalk borers or mealworms at 12 to 15 feet. We both lost a couple of nice fish when they wrapped the line around a tree forcing us to break off.

To finish off the day, we took a pass around the deep bowl between the ramp and dam and picked up a small bass on a firetiger roostertail. - Roberta
