    Default tips on painting lures?

Anyone have any words of wisdom to impart on painting hard plastic
lures? I bought a cheapo air brush set awhile back, but have not got
around to using it yet. Not wanting to do anything real detailed, just
some solid colors, maybe some two-tones. Any advice on putting glitter
on would be appreciated too. Fuel is getting too high to run all over the
country finding this and that, and also just as soon as I find a killer color,
    they discontinue it! Thanks, Jeff

Back when I was making balsa wood crank baits in my bass fishing days after painting I would dip them in a bowling alley floor covering finish called fabulon (sp) that put a super hard finish on the bait. It is hard to find but sure is a good bait finish.
