Blue Marsh has some real nice crappie in it, Upper end I've always done best
hey wassup, i was there yesterday,Stillen Basin, but the water was really low(no luck). can you please tell me where the Upper end is at?, i don't know the area that well. most likely i'll be going to Kaercher creek lake tomorrow to check it out.
thanks
Upper end I'm referring to would be up in the Tulpehocken arm of the lake where there is a no wake zone above the bridge. I have done best up here in the spring time. I have never fished the lake this time of year so I'm not sure on good summer spots. One thing i've learned though is too not fish too deep this time of year. Ive always read in crappie magazines to fish deep water during the summer months. Most lakes here in PA have very little (lower then 2ppm) Dissolved Oxygen levels any lower then 8 to 10 ft so you best bet would be to start there and possibly move up until you find em
thanks Tube,
i went to Kaercher lake on saturday morning and came home with one good sized gill, but later on in the evening i went to schuylkill river and came home with 3 crappies, 2 bass, and 5 bluegills in shallow water(fishing for 20 minutes only). thanks alot i'll try that spot either friday or saturday.

I didn't think there was any other crappie fisherman at Blue Marsh. JK
I fish it Spring through Fall, and actually do my best in the summer.
Rick
BTW, My personal best here is 15 3/4"
wassup rick
maybe one day we should all get together at Blue.
the biggest i caught was 12 in onteelaunee.
Sounds good brindlepit. I never fished Ontelaunee. Are there many biggins in there?
the 12in crappie and a bass were caught in Ontelaunee, but that was like a month ago, since then i haven't caught nothing there. btw for some reason Ontelaunee has a very bad smell, gets me sick.
going to schuylkill river tomorrow.
