Weather please.
Went with a friend today that I've been trying to get in the boat for over a year. With his schedule and mine not jiving very often, I was lucky to finally get a Tuesday off and we put it together. Arrived early and was hoping for some of the calm wind that was around last night. No such luck. Storm front moving thru kept us looking at the west shore, another like Saturdays to move thru anytime and dictated where we could fish. Fish were scattered as expected, some on jigs and a few others on a float n jig. 11 keepers ended the day, boat put up at home by noon. Saw a couple of guys with float and jigs set ups getting a few in a foot of water as we were wrapping up to go. All were a bit above average in size and made nice filets. Throw backs were few today, with more than half in the cooler. I'm really hoping the weather will PLEASE let us enjoy some of this pre-spawn without trying to blow us into the next county. Good luck when y'all go, I'm thinkin the next full moon will be great.
